One of my favorite pieces from a life drawing class. The most
important lesson I learned from life drawing is that we don't draw
naked women because they are erotic -- we draw naked women because they
are very hard to draw. The compound curves, combined with the
fact that everyone knows what the human body is supposed to look like,
are a real challenge. If you can draw a naked woman, you can draw just
about anything.
The biggest challenge in drawing a naked woman is the face. As you can
see, at the time I drew this I wasn't up to it.
